Southam’s young darting ace Ted Evetts will makes his return to PDC pro tour action as he competes in PDC Players Championship 7 & 8 at the Barnsley Metrodome next weekend.
The 20-year old chef has served up some great form as of late, and despite losing his tour card at the end of 2017, he’s certainly earned his return to the main tour.
Evetts was successful on the PDC Challenge Tour last weekend over in Milton Keynes as he won CT8. That victory placed Evetts in eight position in the Challenge Tour order of merit, which gave him the opportunity to attend the two upcoming Players Championship events.
Nine tour-card holders dropped out of the two events next weekend (MVG, Cadby, Van Baelen, Norman Jr, Bryant, Suljovic, Burnett, Lam & O’Connor).
Evetts enjoyed two great years on the main PDC tour as he won his tour card in Wigan aged just 18, he made his debut at the Grand Slam of Darts in the same year, and qualified for several European Tour events, and along the way he’s enjoyed victories over some of the World’s best.
The 20-year old hit a nine-dart leg live on PDCtv last year, and despite not placing in the top 64, and losing a tour card, Evetts made his World Championship debut at Alexandra Palace last December.
The talented youngster is still plying his trade on the PDC Challenge Tour and the PDC Development Tour, and he certainly has a very bright future ahead of him. And, Evetts also comes from quite a talented family as his mother is an award-winning florist, and you can visit her website below.
