Ted Evetts once again tasted success on the PDC Unicorn Development Tour as he was victorious at event no.12 in Wigan.
With the victory, Evetts returned to the top of the PDC Development Tour order of merit, the Southam-based ace was knocked off the top spot as the young German Martin Schindler won both events on Saturday as he scooped £4,000 towards the order of merit.
Evetts had a fantastic day on Subday as he reached the Semi-Finals of event no.11 prior to the victory. The Warwickshire-star enjoyed a remarkable 5-2 victory over Dimitri van den Bergh in the final.
Prior to that victory over the Belgian in the final, Evetts enjoyed successes over Seppe Giebens (4-0), Brad Ellis (4-1), Brian Raman (4-3), Adam Watson (4-3), Christian Bunse (4-2), Martin Schindler (5-2) & Melvin de Fijter (5-3).
Evetts did lose his tour card at the end of 2017, but the way he’s responded to that is quite remarkable. And, the PDC has given two William Hill World Darts Championship places to the top two players in the Development Tour order of Merit come the end of the year as well as a two-year tour card.
